But here’s the kicker: imagine facing off against someone with a custom army while you’re rocking the traditional layout. Suddenly, those tried-and-true openings might not look so hot.

This wild idea got me thinking: what if chess could be more like, well, real strategy? What if every game was a unique puzzle, right from the get-go? And just like that, the seed of Battle Fog Chess was planted.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to leave you hanging. There’s a whole lot more to this story – the late-night brainstorming sessions, the “aha!” moments, the “oh no!” moments (there were plenty of those, trust me). But hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither was Battle Fog Chess.
